VirtueMart Theme Installation Guide

Before you install, you need:

  • FTP access to your server
  • Joomla! 1.x installed
  • Virtuemart 1.1.x component installed

Install VirtueMart theme on your server

  1. Connect to your server and navigate to the directory /components/com_virtuemart/themes/
  2. Upload your theme

Make sure that folder is set to 755 (essentially everything checked except for two "write" checkboxes) and that the file permissions will apply to the recursive directories and files.

Configure VirtueMart

Go to Components >> VirtueMart >> Admin >> configuration

Click on Site tab, in the Layout section

i. Set 'Select the theme for your Shop' as cafe or chapters.

ii. Click on Save
